I have been interested in songs for as long as I can remember.
Much to my fathers amusement, I
wrote my first song when I was five years old. Since then I have sang my favourite tunes to
myself.
Over the years, I have visited and been to
many different places and have met lots of musicians. For
a while though, I didn't write any memorable songs.
With encouragement I began to play live and was surprised at
the audience reaction. I then started
to play with some very gifted people. The reaction from the audience was both overwhelming and
humbling, this reassured me that people could relate to my songs.
Over the years I tried to persuade other players and
singers to get together financially and make records, probably not un-typical that they wanted
instant success without investing any time or
money into the venture, therefore I have decided to go it alone. I am now seeking a publishing deal
and someone to perform my songs. This could be on a song by song basis or whatever the
negotiations may result in.
Music has the power to help people through all sorts of trauma
which I truly believe in. It is certainly helping me to recover from a serious injury,
sustained whilst trying to save another person. This has its drawbacks, but in the end, I am
glad I did not walk past or not get involved.
In my writing, I have not written for a particular singer
or even any particular genre. I try to bring a message of hope to the listener and feel the
performers would also enjoy success with some of my songs.
Thanks to the staff of SCAMP
Studio for producing my demos and to The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers for their help and
patience and also for introducing me to Song and Media Promotions.
Having written many songs and its hard to say how many, if you
are interested in any realistic proposition, don't be the A&R person that rejects these
tried and tested songs, I sincerely hope you enjoy listening to my songs and please
remember, I have more.
Yours sincerely

below
1. As Far As I can See A song
expounding some meanings of the phrase, reminding people more fully of the beauty of life and
the choice we have in conducting our own behaviour.
2. Sand and Sea This song I wrote
after an extremely frightening and violent incident. The morning after I started playing this
which accentuated the lighter side of life.
3. Sweet Talking Reminiscent song
inspired by thoughts of an ex girlfriend. A play on words between sweet talking and being nice
to know you.
4. Put Some Life In Your Day
Accentuates the importance of making everyday count and living it to the maximum despite
any negative influences.
5. Here For You There are so many
resources in life to help us in any project we may embark on. If we contemplate this,
things we never dreamed of are here for you.
6. The Sun Shines On Another narrative
song on a theme not unfamiliar with countless other songs, poems and artistic songs in
general.
7. Politics - Religion This song was
conceived after witnessing a pointless argument concerning these two sometimes contentious
subjects, both to be avoided whilst travelling or in unknown company unless you like arguments
- diplomacy comes to mind.
8. Don't Forget Your Dreams A song I
wrote to encourage people to follow their dreams and not lose sight of them or get
distracted.
9. Crest Of A Wave This is a narrative
song which by definition is self explanatory. An all too common theme for an all to common
occurrence.
10. Love Is Waiting Whilst feeling
quite content and secure in my life and relationships, I thought about people feeling lonely
and dejected. I then wrote this song to offer hope in a positive,
not plaintive way that love is waiting.
